41: Little Loves: Stationery

little loves office supplies

Hey guys!

Okay, so I have a problem.
I am straight up addicted to office supplies. Like, even typing the title up there made me giddy! XD

While I am super bummed that I don’t live near an Office Max (HEAVEN), I am super pumped that I live in Japan and trust me when I say that they do office supplies RIGHT! I mean, it is the Land of All Things Cute, right? That totally applies to stationery and office supplies as well!

Mildliners

No really, I can’t stop buying them! I have one for basically every activity in my planner! I literally have no more room for anymore highlighters/markers/pens, but they are a freaking dollar! XD
I can’t stop! Help!

Sarasa Clip Pens

Zebra Clip Pens ¥100

See above item for my addictive nature. I am SO PICKY about pens that write well. Like, I give up writing if I don’t like the way it feels, lol. These are amazing! (and cute) ((and again, a dollar))

Memo Pads

IMG_4999

I’ve mentioned more than once that my life is a series of lists and post-it notes. (LOL) It goes without saying that I have about a million different note pads/memo pads for like every occasion ever. So handy. ❤

Stamps

IMG_5001Stamps range from ¥300 to ¥500 and are sold at most bookstores.

I’m a teacher. (that should explain it haha) I like to rotate my stamps, but this is the usual selection. My kids call me ‘Tori-tori,’ which is a play on my name written in katakana (トリッシュ torisshu). Thus I have bird stamps!
鳥 (トリ tori) means bird in Japanese.
Sorry for the ink-stained picture. XD I basically use these every day.

Clearfiles

IMG_5003These files can range from about ¥400 to ¥800, depending on where you buy them.

Some of these are tourist-y and some have different characters and idol singers on them. They are A4-size, so pretty much perfect for carrying printouts to class. I like to surprise my kids with a different one each time. (I have like at least six times the amount shown in the pic, lol)

Where are my office supply lovers? I know you’re out there! ❤

I love Mildliners too! I don’t think I can go back to regular highlighters.

I’m also in love with the Frixion pens, especially when I’m studying. I color-code different things in my notes and it’s amazing to be able to cleanly erase any mistakes (of which there are many *shakes fist at kanji*)

YESSSSS. Seriously, I have like every color they’ve made. It’s either really sad or really awesome, haha.
Don’t I feel that! Also, I just feel really cool erasing what I wrote. 😎

I SO understand you on the need of having pens that write well, haha. When I find one that I really like I always go back and by 5 more just in case. Studying Japanese, too, it’s hard to find pens with which I like to practice my kanji, and that is soooo annoying, tsk.
I LOVE THE STAMPS. When I’m a teacher (look at me being all optimistic) I am going to use thoooose. Now have absolutely no excuse for them. Though on the other side I also have no excuse for all the stickers I have and I’m still using them lmao. Memo pads (or notebooks or any variation of them) are going to be the death of my finances one day. You just wait and see xDDDD
On a side note, something I really loved in Japan were cash books. I’m a control freak when it comes to money. I need to know where every cent went. Cash books are amazing! And in Japan (and South Korea) they were soooo cute. Got a couple and I regret not having bought more 😦
    Lovely post 😀

      Oh, a kindred spirit!! ❤

I seriously will stop writing and search for a decent pen if the one I'm using is crap, lol. Oh, oh! Have you tried the Frixion pens? They erase! One of my friends just commented with almost exactly the same thing (practicing kanji) and she uses those! 🙂

STAMPSSSSS. Right now, I'm obsessed with the alien ones. I love the 'がんばれ' one that's written all squiggly like an alien would talk. XD My kids get a kick out of it, too haha.
Oh girl, you and me both! I'd say let's start an office supply addiction support group, but we'll just turn into a bunch of enablers and…well yea.
ME. TOO. I recently went digital, though! (oh dang 👐) I started using Microsoft Money Point and literally log everything I spend/incoming payroll/monthly bills…everything. If you can stand to break from writing it down (it took some adjusting, so I totally understand if you prefer handwritten), give it a shot! 😀

      Thanks for reaaaaading!! ❤
